Earlier this month, I had the pleasure to present to the CNPA Upstate group in Greenville, SC.  My husband, Randy, and I decided to spend the night in Greenville to experience the city.

We chose to stay in a hotel that had quick access to

Falls Park on the Reedy.  We visited this park during a day trip before and wanted more time to explore.

One of the first things we did was enjoy a wonderful dinner at Larkins on the River.  We were thrilled with both our food and the service.

After dinner, we had a nice view from our room of the city.  I felt that the reflections of what was playing on television added to the scene.  I took many frames and chose the refection that worked best with the scene.

Bright Lights

Early the next morning, we were walking in Falls Park.  What caught my eye were the reflections of the buildings in the water.  The two women walking just added to what I saw.  They were even kind enough to wear my favorite color, red.

Walk Reflections

My eye is always drawn to interesting roots.  In the park, there was a massive root system that was completely exposed.

Roots

Without something or someone to add scale, you cannot imagine how large this root system was.  I asked Randy to stand by the root system in order to give it a sense of scale.

Randy and Roots

We enjoyed exploring the downtown area of Greenville while we were there.  There are many shops and restaurants.

Outdoor Seating

The weekend we visited Greenville seemed to be peak for spring blooms in the area.

An Explosion of Pink

The trees throughout the town were gorgeous.

The next time you visit Greenville, SC, or any other place new to you, be sure to look at all of the beauty that surrounds you.
