One of the things I love the most about summer is the gift of time.  Time allows me to slow down and get more in touch with

my creativity.

This summer, I had the opportunity to join an amazing group of friends and fellow photographers to photograph in Michigan.  This is the third trip we have taken together since we met while participating in an online learning community years ago.

I love traveling with this group of like-minded friends.  Most people would rather not ride around in cars for hours looking for things to photograph and then spending more hours photographing.  It is such a delight to spend seven days doing just that with great friends.  These trips consists of:  eating, sleeping, riding, exploring, photographing, processing, sharing, laughing…

I was absolutely stunned by the exquisite beauty of the Great Lakes area of Michigan.  While I took many images to show the literal beauty before me, I also enjoyed having time to explore less traditional ways to explore the scene.  I swiped my camera during longer exposures and used multiple exposures to create images that expressed how I was feeling while looking at the beauty before me.

I will always treasure the trips I have taken with this amazing group of friends and the time it allows me to get to explore the world using my camera.
