Each spring I enjoy spending time in Charleston, South Carolina.  Typically, I will spend several consecutive weekends photographing the beauty of spring in Charleston.

This has not been a typical spring.  While I was unable to make multiple trips to my favorite spring destination,

I was fortunate to have one weekend spent among the beauty that nature brings to Charleston, SC.

A great friend and fellow photographer let me know that you can stay on the property at Middleton Place.  While I have visited and photographed the gardens on numerous occasions, I was not aware that you could stay there.  Staying on the property allowed me to not only enjoy such a scenic location, but I was able to access the gardens before the general public.  It was an amazing way to begin a day!

Here are some of the scenes I was able to experience while at Middleton Place.

I am so incredibly thankful that I had a chance to experience spring in Charleston, if only for a short time.  I will look forward to my next opportunity!
